im trying to find my max stable.. if i go to 185fsb my pc gives me this error windows\system\ something is missing or corrupeted. but i drop it down and everything is fine.. stupid question will upping voltage prvide more stability in a hd?

Doubtful. IIRC, the hard drives are on the PCI bus, so you'd need to increase the PCI driving voltage, and I don't think that's possible.

Quite often you get some added stability from upping the voltage. The problem you are encountering is not always the HD. Try it and see if you get positive results. Just make sure you aren't too aggressive, and that your system is adequately cooled.
