Bad idea to do so. Some programs still insist on some physical swap to use. You'll know which do so when you run across the out of memory error.

Heck, Starcraft is one of those programs. Just give it 20MB of swap and it'll be happy. Even if you've 1GB of ram.

The tweaks posted do not remove the swap file, they simply "recommend" that windows use up all the physical memory before resorting to swap. Therefore, programs that rely on swap should be just fine.

As for practical application, I have been using these tweaks for some time and never had a problem with a wide veriety of software.
