Hi
I have a serious problem w/ windows xpsp1....
When i install nvidia drivers for my rivatnt2 video card all the icons on the toolbard become black and the shapes r strange.
i formated my pc and reinstalled windows 3 times... nothing helps.
What to do?

Does this happen without SP1? Or is your SP1 slipstreamed?

Regardless, try installed a 3X.XX version of the Detonator drivers, since the newest ones might not be best suited for older cards such as the Riva TNT2.

Actually my windows XPsp1 is slipstreamed.
It runs very slow, i just formated my hard drive and installed a regular windows xp.
same thing.
Ill try to install the drivers youve told me.
Thanks for the help. :)

Dam* , now windows got mad!
When i install NSW2k4, it doesnt work after install,
Windows loads a lot of time...
At least i fixed the problem w/ the dead icons.
What to do?

Don't install Systemworks? I've had bad experiences with Systemworks in the past, and I stay away from it now, as it seemed to lag up my Windows box a lot.

Ok, then ill reformat and install everything except NSW2k4...
Thought its a good soft. oh well...

Though I have never experienced it myself, I have heard many bad reports about NSW, though there are also many good ones, I have just stayed away from it.

i hate nVidia some of there drivers just sucked I think i have ver 52.soemthing like it's working fine for now but some other drivers i get black lines everywhere on startmenu login menu especially with win2k

I just noticed that its not the SP1 what makes it sux...
Dunno what else can do that...
What do you recommend?
