So I got my car right before wireless Android Auto was really a thing. And frankly since the USB port for wired AA is in the armrest, I never really used it since the cable wrapped around things and it just got clunky.
Earlier today I was poking around Amazon and a wireless adapter popped up - apparently there are a few such no name adapters floating around. Doing a bit more digging revealed that Motorola also makes one. Having a name brand behind it took some of the suspicion out of it, and actually ordered one before reading some reviews and cancelling.
My two questions are
1) Has anyone tried one of these adapters? The turn off for me was that even the Motorola branded one had reviews of occasional cutouts on longer drives, which in all honesty is likely the only time I'd use it.
And
B) is Android Auto even worth it? My car already has onboard GPS, hands free BT, all that jazz. Using AA and having to constantly switch between my phone and the car UI seemed rough compared to just using the car's onboard stuff.
