Is there a site to find out any info, dslreports gives ISPs from other states when you search by zip.

Well, there's always Satellite internet from services like HughesNet (formerly DirecWay)...but they are a bit pricey. Looks like WildBlue doesn't support your area at the moment.

Or, IF you have Verizon coverage in your area, you could get Verizon Mobile Broadband combined with a Kyocera KR1 router.

Unfortunantly, there are no easy + cheap ways to get broadband if you are out in the boondocks. I was in your boat at one point, and had to wait for Verizon to run their fiber optics, which took nearly a year.

There is DSL, but there is the paying for the DSL line plus the Internet service. We don't have the phone book here so we can't look. Earthlink is up there, but they only have WiFi in 4 cities. None of them near us.

Well I'm sure your neighbor is offering free wireless internet, tons of open networks in C-dale. I found clearwave.com, though I have never tried them

Went with Verizon DSL, ordered it yesterday. We will move in the 15th, I was kind of surprised I always thought you had to pay for the DSL line & ISP service, but apparenty not the total was $35 & that is just internet. All along I thought DSL alone was about $40 with no service. When should the modem arive, like how many days? No one will be living there till the 15th.

I've only dealt with mediacom, and they came and installed it within a few days.

I have a feeling we will be there before the equipe comes. Oh & what does the jack look like, not sure about new jacks.
