I just installed my new motherboard. now my computer will not boot up. I was expecting this but now can i fix it without losing my information? when i load up it recognizes it. Then it goes to the boot screen, where i can choose to boot linux or windows. so i choose windows. it goes to the black screen and loads the white bar. Then it switches to the windows 2000 pro screen and loads some of the blue bar, then i get that blue screen.
so should i but in the windows 2000 disc and reinstall windows or just do a complete reformat?

so wont the repair feature fix it and it will run just fine? Or will it run slower so i should just go ahead and do a clean install?

edit
i already have all of my information on my other hd. I was just trying to avoid doing a reformat and reinstalling everything.
