worth the upgrade for 1080p 144hz or no?

have a chance to snag a used XFX MERC 319 AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB Black for 450$ free shipping coming from a 6700XT sapphire pulse is this a good deal? cant see myself paying 900+ for a 90 series gpu the 6900xt would be for playing doom the dark ages maxed out

The RX9600XT 16 GB will soon be released. I would wait for that card and check how it performs, as it should be at least as fast as RX6900XT, but new with full warranty, much lower wattage, and heat. It's expected to cost under $500 (400 or something was in some leaks).

RX 9070 prices went down to ~$650. RX 9070XT can be found for about $800-850. Newegg has some models in stock for $850. I know it's much above the $450, but I would at least go for the 9070 non-XT as it's a much better option than a couple of year old used 6900XT.

That's what we said two months ago in her previous thread. The advice hasn't changed much... just prices and availability are better (un-ironically, as was stated in that thread too)... and a 9060 XT that's coming out.
