would high temp silicone be good to replace closed cell foam around socket?

I get the feeling that it would constrict. That would be bad. Can someone back me up on that?

I plan on sealing the mobo/socket with the silicon sealant they use in bathrooms, and also use foam to keep out the air. If you only use sealant, the air in the spaces between Waterblock/HSF and cpu will get cold and it's moisture will condense onto the cpu.
Use foam as well as sealant for better protection.
