Well I fixed the problem. What I did is put all of my fans on 1 lead and my harddrives and cd-rom drives on the other lead then I used the last lead for my lights and it works now! Thanks all!
 
yeah, sounds like they were causeing a sag in the system thus affecting your harddrive. harddrives are more sensitive to power fluctuations than you think. a sudden drop in rpm of the platter can cause serious freezes.

The light in my case is a dark red but it turned out yellow in the pic...

I originally had my CC wired to the same power lead as my second hard drive. It didn't ever crash my computer (that drive is just some data, no programs or OS stuff), but I could actually hear the speed of the drive change whenever I switched my light on/off.

Not sure why...power surge on that line or something maybe.
