I have a VT82C596B south bridge.
I have a sound blaster 64AWE soundcard
I have win95 for games
when I boot up my soundcard stutters for 2 sec and then is fine
sisoft tells me my pci latency is to high 80.
my bios tells me my pci latency is 32
I have read that wpcredit can "fix" my pci latency issue
and that this will help my soundblaster card work like it
should?
PS sisoft reports that 4 way interleave is enabled.
every site I have found dwells on the 4 way thing.
I am looking for other tweaks with wpcredit and my P3V4X (694X) northbridge.

the only thing I have on the PCI bus is my NIC which connects to my cable modem.

My sound card is using the one ISA slot

My vid is in the AGP slot.(voodoo 3 2000) not OC'd

has anyone else ever had a problem where sometimes when they turn on their computer the system does not find the video card?
My P3V4X does this every once in a while. I just turn it off and back on again. I end up in the bios. I exit the bios without changing anything and then I boot up just fine.
This has always bothered me, and I wondered if anyone else has weired things happen with a VIA apollo proA chipset
