The Gig Athlon system I built my mate is getting on his (And therefore *my*) Tits!

He's got himself a Logitech Wingman Force 3d Joystick that connects via USB.

Before the joystick's been plugged in, everything works a treat, i.e. games will Install from the DVD ROM drive, etc.

After plugging it in, even before installing the lastest Wingman 3.62 Drivers, games will not install and some don't even play 0- the computer just freezes and the only action to take is "the Finger of Death".

With the Wingman drivers, it's the same story.

FYI his system has got the following compos:

1Ghz Blue T-bird,
Elite (ECS) K7VZA Mobo,
Sb Live! 5.1 Value sound,
Magic Express 56k (hardware PCI) Modem,
Asus V7700 GF2 w/ 64Mb Graphics,
256Mb Ram (1x128Mb PC100 & 1x128Mb Pc133 running at 133 CAS3)
Toshiba DVDROM 1402 (12xDVD,40xCD)
Maxtor 17Gb Hard disk,
Seagate 4.2Gb Hard Disk.

Running Win 98 First Ed, with the latset drivers for all, 3011 Via IDE, 404 AGP, 4.28v rest of 4-in 1's.

Freezes on everything, not just games.

I've heard the KT133 has a few probs with BM devices sharing IRQs. His boards got a spare space, but I don't know what PCI slots are shared by what IRQs?

Comments...? Thoughts...? Suggestions...?
