I have had a post in the Intel Mobo section, but no-one appears to be looking at it (This is why I'm slapping it here - Dan) For more info about what I was doing, when the compo went caput, check out: http://forums.overclockers.ws/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=3&TID=286&SID=52676

Anyways, an square, black plastic/creamic? elctronic compo with the following stuff written on it:

The gray circle has the number 42 punched into it on the compo with the hole, and its sibling next to it (un-holed) has the number 41.

The hole is circled in the picture below

just to give you a clue as to what it looks like. It has a shniny pice of metal sticking through it.

I've got a new mobo on order (i'm not gonna try to fix it). What I'm wondering is could something else (e.g. CPU) be damaged by this compo going tits-up.

My Mobo is an Abit BH6 Rev.1.02.

Any help from anyone is very much appreciated.

From reading another post on this forum, it would appear i am not the only one whose BH6 has died recently, with small holes appearing in an quote "IC".

Any ideas as to why this has happened? Please help a desperate man!!!!!!!!
