I just tried a test mount of my WW on my brand new Abit NF7-S. The mounting holes are surrounded by transistors and other electrical stuff that I can't remember. I'm afraid of crushing them with the plastic washers and nuts. Any suggestions? (Shorten the diameter of the plastic washers? That might be kinda hard to do tough).

yeah i cut my plastic washers into squeare shape and that seems to work for me.

doh, I didn't even think about cutting them. I was about ready to get out the belt sander. :)

I just bolted the bottom ones down, left the top ones hanging, it was kind of anoying that they had them around it, My nf7 1.1 has a really big one right next to the hole, I think its impossible to even use the washers and nuts regaurdless.

I used plastic spacers instead of washers. They are like a washer but more narrow and taller. They still barely fit.

If nothing else you can hit the hardware store and pick up a set of thin rubber washers and a thin metal one for on top of it. The rubber will be easer on the board and the metal washer so the nut wont pop through the rubber.

I used DodgeViper's method of installing the water block

brb, lemme look for his pictures that he made on these forums.

edit: here is the link to the method http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=165487

edit: The way i do it is exactly the same but i dont put any washers on the motherboard. But i do under the motherboard and over the waterblock and right before the nuts at the top.
