Something I learned the hard way: if you own a DTT2500 or DTT3500, and most digital speakers which do not have a connector for Center Channel/Sub, you will not be able to use your X-fi in true 5.1/Dolby Digital. Creative' mini Din is not compatible with the X-Fi. Creative's answer to this is: buy new speakers. There is a long thread on Creative forums. Totally unacceptable from Creative not to mention this "slight" issue. So if you are the owner of a digital speakers set, contact creative to make sure the x-fi is for you. Or be ready to buy a new set of speakers.

I have recently ditched the whole computer speaker and sound card scene.

If your dumping hundreds into computer audio your better of going with an affordable quality surround sound digital reciever and some nice quality REAL speakers.

I am so happy with the sound quality and the VOLUME and depth for gaming and music. I would have had to spend $500 on a computer speaker set to even come close to what I have now...
