So I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102019). I am wanting to connected my Headphones to it as well as my speakers. I am currently using aa Logitech 5.1 gaming speaker set. I don't recall the model, but I have Orange, Black & green cables from it connected to the same colored spots on the sound card. I currently have my mic from my head set connected to the blue spot and as far as I can tell now it is working. But I am unable to get sound through to the headset. I've had audio jacks on motherboards & what not in past where I was able to program/tell it what I had plugged in there and would allow me to do whatever. I would think with this card I could do the same. But I've been fiddling with it for hours with no luck. So is this possible? or not?
I do have audio ports on the front top of my case and have used them generally in the past, which are connected to my on board sound. However I don't like to much as I get a lot of line noise or some kind of whining sounds when using it especially when I mute the mic from the headset switch. I've never been able to figure that out and correct it. I've always gotten it from the last 3-ish builds I've had. Different motherboards, cases etc. I just can't nail this down. If I could get rid of that annoying whining or whatever it is I would be more inclined to go back to using that.
Any ideas & help would be greatly appreciated...
