xbox 360 not turning on

My brother just bought one core system and it won't even turn on!!

Plug it into the wall socket, works like a charm.

ok i tried to on the tv in my room with the hdtv cables and it worked but when i was trying it with the normal tv wihhc has no DHTV outputs it didn't work. and frick there is lightining every 5 seconds here and 5 years are playing out in the snow in night. -_-

Exchange it. As long as you have checked all of the connections and made sure everything is plugged in.

There is a switch on the video connector by at the fat end that plugs into the 360, make sure it is flipped to standard when plugging into a non HDTV. as for the 5 seconds, 5 years snow and lighting....WTF???

Also i was wondeirng if i was suppose to get a free 3 mothn onlyine subcription with it?

Did you swap the switch on the cord to regular TV from HDTv....?

yeah i did that downstairs.. Anyway it's working now and should i do pro family or underground or recreation?
