Well here tis the starting of my Xeon saga.... I tried 2.0 then 2.2 and im now on 2.485 with volts set at stock..... im getting a .05 vcore droop.... but everything is stable soo far.... Hope to hit 3.5... hehe wishful thinking...... I noticed the Xeon IHS is a lil different then my old E6400 it seems more sliver colored and defined. The edges were different as well.

Temps
This is a week 31 Cpu.

What is the week of your xeon? I'm going to be getting my P5B-Deluxe shortly here to replace my DS3. I'd love to compare clocks and see if the xeon is better than a E6300, or at least if it runs cooler.

well this chip runs wayyy co.oler then my week 26 E6400.. This Chip is a week 31...

Well soo far i can boot @ 3.2 but its not orthos stable..... My vdroop is .05v.... My Small FFT's i can pass for 3 hours @ 3.0.... in orthos. Also i can run 3 hours in large FFT's and it will pass but it will not pass a Blended test not even 10mins... why.???..... All my voltages are

1.4500vcore
NB 1.65v
Fsb term 1.450v

I have tried lower fsb and lower NB voltages cause i read somwhere that somtimes the board likes lower volts..... to no avail...
Any one have suggestionsss???? pls im open to trying things...

so your actuall load vcore is 1.40

try bumping your SB voltage.. (IIRC 1.8)

how about your ram settings? 460mhz frequency takes a little tweeking

green and shelnutt2 you guys are awsome.... THANKS

CHECK IT OUt 3000mhz and stable.... changed the ram timeings and backed down the vdimm to 2.25v presto stable and this chips got more megahurtz in it i hope to hit 3.4 you guys rock.
I even think i can back the vcore down too...

Stop use orthos! OC, load windows, run Super Pie 1m, maybe run PCMark and then memtest for 1 pass...or you can boot to memtest first then go into windows after you pass 1-2 passes of memtest. Only orthos once you've found your max and are then trying to find a stable spot.

(I use to orthos too...then greenmaji got to me:beer: )
