Is anyone familiar with this stepping?

I have had the 0212 Y, 0213 Y, and should have a 0226 Z soon, just wondering what people are getting with this processor...

Is 166x10.5 the max for that 0212 "y" in your sig? I know it's brand new, but have you tried t get it higher?
The "k" might do better than that. Where'd you get it from and how much?

Ronin, do me a favor please. Click on the 1963 or mushkin link in my sig and tell me what you get. When I try to open the links (except for madonion), I'm asked to log in to MSN.

Sorry the sig is a little old, I had posted some higher numbers, after I had done some testing, I just keep her at 166(with my MB the dividers keep the PCI/AGP values at default).

I had it up to 190FSB, but it was a little unstable(wouldn't run Prime95 for more than 6 hours), my wall seemed to be around 176 FSB for 100% stability. I have to admit I had a bad memory module, waiting for the replacement, so my numbers may have been affect by that...

Mine was actually a mistake, they sent it and I think they don't know they did. Lawernce and I were in the process of testing some other ones. I was going to wait and see how the new 0226 Z did, but it looks like the RMA department jumped the gun...

I will send her back...

FWIW, I have a 2000+ AGOIA 0204 Y

I'm running it fulltime @ 11x166 (1826) with 1.775 vcore

It'll go faster, but my cooling is insufficient to handle the associated vcore increase right now.

mines a K, Y's are know for being better overclockers, and K's are know for being the worst of the bunch, I was hoping to hear some positive feedback from K owners, but so far they have not been good...normal Y and 9 are great oc'ers

I guess it's back she goes...thanks for the input

Now I feel like no one reads my posts. boo-hoo-hoo. lol

I was the first to respond that my XP1600 "K" is running at 1963mhz. If that's not good feedback, then nothing is.

Sorry about that, but your post was directed at "k" chips only, not k 0204. I guess I got really lucky w/ my "k".

I did a K over the weekend too..
I think I am just going to return those to AMD and hope to get some other steppings.. the Z's are fairly good.. I would not say if it is better than Y's but.. oh well. .. that's all I can get now..
166Mhz for Z should not be a problem.. I have done many test already .. and most of them are good..
