XP 1600+ Unlocked 12x Max Multi?

I unlocked my 1600 last night but it seems 12 x is the max I can put the multiplier to. I seen on the unlocking XP / Mp Sticky thread that someone else had this same problem but after some time withought redoing the bridging additional multi's became available. Has anyone heard of this happening? Or is there another way of unlocking through other bridges?

TIA

Rick.

Hmm. I think this is more a MB / chipset issue than an unlocking issue. I think KT266 and KT333 read the chip and it says "highest is 12X". When you drop in a 2400+, it says "lowest is 12.5". Now, I know that there is a way to unlock the 2400+ to give access to the lower multis.

I don't know if there is a similar trick to unlock the 1600+ to give HIGHER multis. You might check the "bridge guide" in the FAQ to see if maybe the L3 bridges determines the high low multis.

Well I tried about everything I could to get it to post with a higher multiplier and nada. 12 appears to be the max but I can not say for sure. If anyone has a sure fire way to unlock higher settings on the XP 1600+ please send me an e-mail or post a reply.

TIA
