I am just thinking a bit after reading the XP Diode reader article posted on OC...Anyone else getting ideas?
Wow, I want to make something now. I worked for Motorola in the Semiconductor plants for 1.5 years in the Etch department processing everything from your car's computer chip to the PowerPC and Playstation chips. Since I am not a chemical engineer I didn't get into any design issues, but I thought about how I could use some of those chips if I only knew more about how to assemble them cheaply.. when I got to radio shack for parts I always drool over the chips there and think of things I could make with them...
let's see, a small camera, audio chip, speaker, mic, motor, some wheels, IR transmitter/receiver...maybe a car that can rome around downstairs and talk to my wife while she is cooking dinner and i am working..haha
I want to make a monster, even if it isn't a very scarey one..just something with moving parts and interactivty....I have a spare dual PII 400 board and all the fixin's laying around that could be the brains...I could build an interface with the com ports and write some software to make something physical out of it...
hmmmmmmm...
