XP just froze, due to oc??

I overclocked my t-bird 750 to 1 Ghz on abit kt7 but once yesterday and once today, xp just froze for no apparent reason, i wasn't running any programs except chatting and listening to mp3. then today, when i restarted the system, (don't know if this is related, but) all the emails that msn explorers saves on the computer was gone! what can be causing xp to freeze like that? is it due to overclocking? my temp is ok i think, around mid to high 30s when running a program (i.e. Access). thanks very much!

Have you upped your voltage at all? That could cause some problems when comp is overclocked.

Smells like you need more voltage for either your processor or RAM.

thanks for the replies guys. what voltage setting do you think i should set it to? i think i had upped it to 1.8 but have moved it down since then, i'm not sure. let me know. thanks!
