I remember going through this with the 1600's about 6 months ago. Got to love it. A great cpu for 42 bucks. I went ahead and bought one even though I dont really need it. I'm sure I will sooner or later. I can test it against my 1700 pali and see what the diffrence is.

GOt mine yesterday. JIUHB and it's already doing 11 x 180 in my 8K3A+.

The low temps are kinda messing with my head though. Running F@H, it's running at 31C.

I don't really have the $ for it but Newegg has a refurbed ASUS A7N8X deluxe for 89.00 right now. Dont know how long it will last though.

I bought one for 48$ and got an A... about 2 weeks ago everyone was getting B's now it seems about 75% are a's. I just ordered another (Would have gotten more but it's a limit of 1 (used to be 5)). A B would be sweet... a DLT3C B would be luscious.

CPU arrived today. JIUHB on the sticker. I guess that means it's a T-bred B. Of course a couple of hours AFTER I ordered it, New Egg dropped the price to $42. That should filed under the Basic Rule of Shopping:

No matter how extensively you shop for something, AFTER you've bought it, you'll find it on sale cheaper!

Just bought one for 42 USD...should arive in about a week.. and threw in an extra 256meg DDr stick for the mobo its going in...heh. Will see what I get I guess

Is whatever these resellers have left in stock of 1700+s going to be their last batch because I called several retailers where I live and they all say they can't get a hold of 1700+s anymore. Only 2000+ and up.
