Xteq X-Setup and win98 shutdown problems

I downloaded X-setup the other day and was playing around a little bit with the shutdown stuff. I enabled the "end hung programs" thing or whatever its called and a couple other things. After that, whenever I would shut down my computer, it would restart it instead. Yes, i checked and made sure that i was selecting shut down and stuff. So, i went back into x-setup and put everything back the way it was, but it still restarts instead of shutting down. does anyone know how to fix this?

I had exactly the same problem as you with X-Tec and Win98se. I finally got fed up and re-loaded the OS. You might find some help at this link-

thanks for the help but I finally got it fixed. don't ask me what i did, but somehow its working better now
