You know the wires on a PC power button? Can you get extensions of those?

I just released that my custom wooden pc case I am building due to the placement of where my power button is doing and where my motherboard is, i have to pretty much have the wires stretched out with zero give in the wire, it looks really stupid and just wanted to know if there are extenders for these kind things.

What's wrong with splicing some more wire in?

Goes to show how much I've gotten babied since I used to dink around in car audio. lol I should have thought of that. I used to take old appliances jerk the wires out wa-la speaker cable LOL.

What is the gauge on that tiny stuff though?

man something tiny, probably 18, 20?

It really isn't important in this situation what kind of wire you use. Provided you connect the wires properly, the amount of power you need to carry (enough to short two pins and turn the PC on or reset it, enough to power a tiny LED) is really tiny. you're not carrying any kind of signal on any of these-- they're just ON/OFF.
