What chipset does your m/b use? And are you using anysort of tweaking program (NVMax, GeForce Tweaker). I would definately try a few different versions of the Detonator drivers, like those above me suggested. I'm using the 12.90 as well, and I got a small improvement over the 12.6, which was a small improvement over 12.41 
Just play around with differernt drivers, what gives me the best results might actually degrade your performance. Once you've found the best drivers for your system, start tweaking! A good site for drivers and tweaks is www.nvmax.com. Good luck!
