hi, I want 4.8ghz and I have a dilemma.
my rig :

* p8z77 xl
* Mushkin Blackline 16GB 2X8GB Dual Channel DDR3 2133MHz 13-13-13-34 1t 1.5v but I change it to 11-11-11-30 1.6v

* 2500k at 4.5 1.34 v stable.

* LLC high ,350 , extreme, extrem, ppl voltage disable

I dont know how much voltage shouldn`t be at ram if i decide to oc cpu at 4.8 ghz

Can I suggest you start your own thread with your problem. You will get a better response if you have your own thread with your specific question instead of posting in this and 2 other people's threads. I would suggest either the Intel or memory sections.

So if I understand your question correctly, you are asking what DRAM voltage to set if you plan to push your OC further?

The DRAM voltage may not have to be increased as you increase your overclock if you are just overclocking via the multiplier. If you start pushing the fsb this will affect ram speed and will the necessitate more voltage.

I would suggest if you want to try and push your overclock further that you set all of the memory settings to auto. Then work to stabalize you cpu overclock. After you do this start working your memory back up and see where you end up. This will give you better results than us just throwing a cookie cutter number at you. If you are having specific issues with trying to push your overclock please post what they are and we can try to address them.

Just out of my curiosity why are you trying to push the cpu harder. Is this just to see what it can do, are you trying to improve your gaming experience, or is there a specific program that you need the improvement for?

RAM will be fine till 1.7V+ but there is no point to set it above ~1.65V and I think you don't even have higher voltage to choose.
CPU won't like much above 1.45V for longer work. I mean Sandy Bridge is often degrading at 1.5V+ or instantly dying so I would keep CPU voltage at no more than 1.45V. At this voltage you should be able to set 4.7-4.8GHz.

First start from overclocking CPU at auto memory settings. When you stabilize CPU then start to overclock memory. Sometimes high CPU clock is limiting maximum memory overclocking.
