I replaced my Zalman's 92mm fan with a monster 120mm.

It's also clear so you can (sort of) see that it's now additionally blowing directly onto my chipset and RAM slots. It's the only fan in the case although I intend to point something into the PCI area since my graphics card only has a heatsink.

I didn't expect the camera to completely freeze the fan, which is moving in the pic. Your eye can see right through it (like all fans).

My air duct is like that, just with a bigger fan blowing towards all:

CPU Fan
Northbrdige Fan
Ram
AGP Card.

Its very effectiv, recommended for people who are having trouble overclocking with over heating issues with the chipset or ram, or even the CPU.

Yodums

I'm not sure what the figure is but none of my other fans come close, even the 92mm. This is a fan you can feel blowing on your hand.

I got it at New Egg just because I was already getting a processor (Enermax)

I may duct it eventually, but I'll be going through my case's front holes instead of cutting. The only other option is making a whole separate side cover, which may be the better way.

are you sure you meant enermax?
that is the only fan in your case? is it loud?
how do you mount it over your chipset and ram?

Thats a cool looking fan. Where did you get it and is it available in different colors. Imac style

Actually I meant the fan is an Enermax. Sorry I wrote that post before coffee.

I got it here: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=127&manufactory=1400&DEPA=1

and I mounted it on the arm that comes with a Zalman heatsink. Zalman doesn't mount the fan directly on the sink (which would be hard because of their shape) instead they bolt a metal mount to the PCI bolts. It's kind of a pain when you have to change something there but that isn't often for me.

It's not too loud when set to slow speed, but what's the point in that heh. It has a manual adjustment knob but I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to splice a temperature sensor in that wire (the knob is on an external loop of wire). It's loud when going full blast.

The idea is to get maximum cooling where it counts most. I'm probably going to build a big intake duct instead of using the Zalman mount. That way the air will all be fresh (cool).

Coffee helps you out? Coffee makes me sick eversince I had a late night drinking binge (I was drinking some Starbucks Coffee), Ive never drunk a drop of coffee ever again.
