does any use this cooler at all? It is meant to be a high performance cooler but it keeps my XP1700+ at 60 and above that is worse than my thermosonic Thermoengine.
It doesnt sit cnter on my core either the core sits very close to the edge of the cooler.
any ideas?

I was using one of these for a while and it kept my temps below 50C on full load on a slightly overclocked xp1600+. It also sat with the cpu core in the centre of the heatsink. I can only think that you have not mounted it correctly. It would be worth checking out because you should not be getting such high temps unless you are overclocked. It may also be that your temp sensor is very innacurate.
