Just saw this on Amazon, may be of some interest, a 1080 for $604.

Saw that , nice price and $36 less than I paid a few months ago . Good card , pretty happy with mine , but if running 4K (and high oc'd) the card does need some tender loving in the fan and power settings up from the default to keep it from getting warm (but thats the same with most/all 1080's in 4K) ; and I can keep the temps between 73-80c .

The card is very quite even at full fans (when necessary) , and mine has been rock solid/problem free since day one .
