Mounting the drive is a piece of cake – just slip it into the SATA connector, insert the drive into the sleeve and use two really small screws to hold it in place (DO NOT lose the screwdriver; also note they ship the unit with four teeny tiny screws, two more that you need):
Performance Test
I tested using a Toshiba 2.5″ SATA HD MK6034GSX – performance with USB 2.0 is nothing to write home about compared to a eSATA port, but there are more USB ports around than eSATA, so it’s a bit more ubiquitous. Results are typical:
