Kingwin’s F-35 3.5″ SATA HD Enclosure looks great and is a nice solution for external storage.

When I first opened it, I thought it was a hair dryer! There are two 50 mm cooling fans on each side that are quiet and do a nice cooling job.

Performance Test

I used HD Tach 3.0.4.0 to test out HD transfer; the results are typical for USB external drive enclosures – nothing to get excited about but certainly OK for backing up data. The front lights up blue to indicate power and HD status – you can’t miss it.

Overall an attractive external storage enclosure with very distinctive packaging.
