Scythe Mugen 5 Black Launchs in US and Europe

The Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition launched in Asia in early January while the U.S. and European market had to wait until March. The wait is now over. The Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition features everything the original Mugen 5 featured, but now sports a satin black coat and diamond-cut logo. If that’s not enough for you Scythe has also paired this versatile cooler with an all-black 120 mm Kaze Flex PWM fan. MSRP is $60 and is available through Amazon and all other locations that normally carry Scythe products. Below are some information and specifications we have gleaned from the Scythe website.

Based on the classic Mugen 5 cooler, this new edition comes with an all-black Kaze Flex 120 fan (ramp up to 1500 rpm) that pushes its performance to the next level. With the additional fan clip and upgraded mounting system, the Mugen 5 Black is the premium choice of excellent performance and superb quietness.

Excellent Compatibility

Thanks to the offset and asymmetrical design, this cooler has great compatibility with memory modules and graphic cards even on LGA 2011 (V3) / LGA 2066 sockets. Standing only 154.5mm tall, the Mugen 5 Black perfectly fits most tower cases on the market.

Aesthetics and Style

Yesterday, DeepCool launched the AK400 single tower 120 mm CPU cooler. Featuring four heat pipes measuring six millimeters in diameter with direct IHS contact, DeepCool claims the new heatsink will dissipate up to 220 Watts. Scythe Releases Fuma 2 Rev.B CPU Cooler

Today, Scythe released an updated version of its venerable Fuma 2 CPU cooler. The Fuma 2 Rev.B maintains the same dual tower design but now features a pair of Kaze Flex II 120 mm PWM fans. With rotational speeds up to 1500 RPM, an increase of 300 RPM, the new Kaze Flex II fans produce up to 67 CFM for increased cooling capacity. The updated Fuma 2 Rev.B is also now compatible with Intel’s LGA1700 socket, making it ideal for a 12th Generation Core processor. Amazon currently has the new Fuma 2 Rev.B for $65.99. Montech Launches METAL DT24 CPU Coolers and 120 PWM Fan

Montech just launched the Metal DT24 premium and Metal DT24 Base dual-tower CPU coolers, along with a Metal 120 mm PWM fan. The coolers feature six copper heat pipes measuring six millimeters thick with a fin stack and cooling base made of copper and aluminum. Montech claims an impressive 270 Watt TDP which would make it one of the best Air coolers on the market. The Premium variant receives a decorative top plate and ARGB lighting, while the Base version comes in silver and black without lighting.
