Forum Wars is an online, team-based overclocking/benchmarking competition hosted by The Raptor Pit. Basically, each team is divided up into classes, based on hardware limitations. Classes compete against each other, and basically the team with the most winning classes wins the wars. There’s quite a bit of strategy involved in class placement, and we’ve got some guys on our team that are great at that. Gigabyte, as we all know, was one of the first motherboard manufacturers to roll out a solid implementation of USB 3 and SATA 3 in their products. In fact, Gigabyte now has an “A” option for most of their products. But since the devices capable of utilizing these higher speeds are still out of my reach, USB 3 and SATA 3 testing will be included in part 2 of this review.
