Today we get a chance to test the newest addition to MSI’s Pascal lineup, the GTX 1070 Ti Titanium 8G video card. The announcement of a GTX 1070 Ti sparked a lot of discussion on the tech forums. Speculations on performance and price but the big question was WHY? If I had a definitive answer I’d gladly share, but I don’t. What I will share however are some performance figures and overclocking results.
As the name says this is the Titanium version with at familiar silvery finish matching MSI’s Titanium motherboard line nicely. Built on their custom PCB which MSI refers to as the “Gaming” PCB, it has plenty of power to drive it and their TwinFrozr VI cooling solution to tame it. This should give us some overclocking headroom and we’ll see just how much soon enough. Read More
Today on the review rig, we have the ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1070 to share with you. The 1070 Strix promises to have good and quiet cooling, your now typical RGB LEDs, and superior performance over any Founders Edition (FE) cards due to the factory overclock. There are a couple of neat features here, one of which is FanConnect, which you will later see why this sets the card apart from the others. Read on below to see if they have again accomplished what they set out to do! Read More

The long-awaited NVIDIA Pascal architecture was released a few weeks ago in the form of the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. It was worth the wait! The new GPUs sport large performance increases (up to 30%) and lower power consumption compared to the mighty 980Ti. Even though we did not get a Founders Edition sample from NVIDIA, we have the opportunity today to look at MSI’s GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G GPU. This card features an improved TwinFrozr cooler with its Torx 2.0 double ball bearing fan design, better than reference power delivery (additional 6-pin required!) including MSI’s Military Class V parts, and its Zero Fan technology which shuts down the fans until the GPU hits 60 °C. Features aside, it’s time to dig in and see what all of the fuss is about! Read More
