EVGA’s lineup for the Intel Z490 platform consists of the DARK and FTW WiFi. The DARK is tailored for extreme overclockers and serious enthusiasts. However, if you’re after a more conventional, but still feature-rich gaming motherboard, then the FTW is worth taking a look at. Even though the DARK is their flagship motherboard, EVGA hasn’t overlooked the FTW in terms of overclocking support tools and features.
On Wednesday, July 29th, Gigabyte announced its latest All-In-One motherboard and cooler combination, the Z490 Aorus Master Waterforce. Designed to tame Intel’s 10th generation 10-core “K” Series processors the motherboard boasts an astounding 14 phase digital power section. In order to keep the CPU and massive VRM area cool, Gigabyte developed a full coverage monoblock and paired it with a 360mm radiator.
One thing for certain this “Core War” between AMD and Intel has been good for us, the consumer. After the launch of ZEN 2 with 12 and 16 core CPUs, Intel is firing back with the Core i9-10900K a 10-core, 20-thread CPU with a maximum boost speed of 5.3 GHz which Intel claims will deliver the best gaming experience in the desktop market.
