Wake Me Up In May . . .

Intentionally or not, it looks like spring for us will come late this year, around May to be precise.

The AMD and Intel price cuts will be in place by the end of April.

We ought to see a bunch of reasonably-priced next-generation DX10 cards in place right around then, too.

On the Intel side, we ought to see the first of the Bearlake motherboards, nice to have 45nm CPU compatibility for a later CPU upgrade.

RAM dropped a little more in price today; it probably will drop some more and won’t revive until we see Vista SP1 during the summer.

Take that all together, and if you’re looking for a new desktop system, May ought be a good time to get serious about it.
