What kind of RAM is this???

My dell came with a single stick of 256MB Rambus, and prior to discovering the OC advantages of DDR, I was going to use Rambus, but was unsure of what motherboard to pick because I didn't know the speed of the ram. I got out Sandra to take a look and see what the speed was and it gave me this:

I highlighted the bold area because that is the speed it is registering for the Ram, I was only aware of 600/800/1066/1200 speeds..... Is it somehow overclocked or underclocked from Dell?? Anyone have any ideas I'm really curious..

There was a PC700 grade as well. Memory manufacturers had such a tough time getting RDRAM to run the intended PC800 spec that they had to create the PC600 and 700 grades as a means to dispose of all the examples that wouldn't run PC800 successfully.

I hope you understand that this ram is usefull for running your dell, but nothing else. P4 chipsets support only down to PC800, and being dual channel require two modules to complete a bank.

Hence the switch to DDR The first thing I started to do was see what I could and could not salvage from the wreckage to put into my new computer.
