Iwill processor question

Hi guys,

I have a KK266Plus-R and i'm thinking of upgrading the processor (presently I have a 1.0 Athlon o/c'd to 1.45). The iwill site say's 1.4ghz as the max - can I get a xp2400 in it?

I have the same board. The highest that you can go is an XP 2100+. AND it HAS to be a PALOMINO core. T-bred and Barton will not work.

I just upgraded mine to an XP 1600+ with the AGOIA core. It's not going too well. I really wish that I saved my $$$ and upgraded the board too.

Also 1.4 GHz is not the highest. The xp 1600+ is 1.4 by default but right now I have is clocked to 1.6.

I couldn't get my 1 GHz to go beyond 1.152. What tricks are you using to get higher?

Its pure chance, some boards are good, some are not.

I can use an XP1900 in mine, but it didnt take the XP2000

Its not a good board though cos on mine, the PS/2 Ports failed , and so did the on-board USB, so if I want to use it, I need to use teh external USB ports, so... I dont bother!

your 2000 is a thorobred, bios wont allow
the board to post.
