How to overclock my Intel Core 2 Duo E75000

I need a full starting to ending guideto overclock my Processor.

To show my system specs I will simply attach a text document plz read my specs. I am a newbie at things like overclocking .
My basic system specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93 Ghz
Dell 018D1Y A00 motherboard
6144 MB RAM DDR3(2 memory modules- First one stock 2 GB ; Second one Transcend 4 GB)
Intel G45/43 Express Chipset (1422 MB)
My CPU is a well ventilated box and it has 3 stock fans.

Can I get some different ways to overclock because my BIOS doesn't have any such option to change frequencies or anything like that.
 
Uh oh, you're on a Dell. Chances of overclocking that system just reduced to very close to zero. Your only option is SetFSB, which isn't easy and probably won't work anyway.

Your other choice may be a pin mod, but I'm not sure if you can even pin mod an E7500 successfully.

I really hate to say it, but the likelihood of a successful overclock on that system is slim to zero. :(

Honestly, at this point you would have a large amount of trouble finding a good 775 motherboard. You would definitely need a new PSU as well.

What I would recommend is saving another $250, for $600 total. More is better of course, but that amount could build you a decent setup that will run circles around your current system.
 
$109.99 shipped. Perhaps I should have phrased that differently. It would be a wiser investment to buy something new around that price than get a years old board for a years old chip. If you're going to bench 775 chips for fun, that might be a decent investment. If you're looking for a replacement board for a 24/7 system, that's a gamble. At least IMHO.

Sorry, you'll have to figure out the getting-from-India problem. I have no idea what the exchange rate is and can't help by linking to those places since I have no idea how much we're talking about. What I can do is suggest parts that you then find in India. My suggestion for your budget is an AMD socket FM2 motherbord with an A85X chipset, plus an AMD APU (accelerated processing unit - a CPU with a GPU built-in) and the rest of the stuff necessary to build a system around it. Again, these are in US dollars, but hopefully the exchange is somewhat similar.

ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4-M - $90
AMD A10-5800K APU - $130
----For a bit more power, I would go with the AMD A10-6800K - $150
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ - $30

Prices are 25% higher if you want warranty. But you can pretty much get all the same parts. Although some are harder to find. You need the factory warranty service valid in india which is why you buy it locally. US warranty from like amazon and tiger etc are not valid in other countries. Also unlike Ebay.us, Ebay.in is priced much higher than other places. Also import costs 50% more due to freight charges so getting those hard to find parts are not worth it. Always swapping for a similar item even if slightly more expensive or with less features are cost effective. Parts sold as scrap in the US and resold very cheap usually are just sold for like a 25% discount in India Like the 64GB kingston v100 for $50. So are old stocks like sony play stations and sega dreamcasts for around $100. They must sell those because I keep seeing ads for them.

Lots of specialized computer stores like delta around, prices are much better than consolidated sites like amazon/junglie etc.. Use Google to find them. Shops like delta also sells via ebay etc but they also add in extra costs for buying from there.
 
Dump your board! The board probably has an unprogrammable clockgen! :mad:
(That means even the SetFSB program and the like can't help you.)
