I bought a stick of 512 Corsair XMS3200c2.5, ran it through cpu-z, and it identified it as PC2700! Is this correct? Is Corsair pc3200 really pc2700 overclocked?

And if it is pc2700 overclocked, what do I buy when I wanna buy another 512mb stick of memory? pc3200 or pc2700?

Thanks!!

yea they are just overclocked 2700. Next time look into buying 3200 Corsair LL or LLPT

not necessarily, it could be old pc3200 that uses the pc2700 JEDEC spec for pc2700.

This is just a case of a program that should be updated. It's an old version. Newer ones pick up pc3200. Regardless of what it says, that ram should hit 200fsb, regardless of what the program says. Your motherboard might not, though.
