I just got a box from Newegg and in it were the 2 Barton 2500's i sent for. Steppings are the same on both of them.

Anyone seen these before? And if so what kinda results did you have? Thanks.

Its an AQXEA, that's good, but also an MPMW; mediocre wafer integrity. Should probably reach 2.5ghz on your water setup nonetheless.

I'm pretty sure that that MPMW, XPMW "wafer quality" stuff is just a rumor.

The third letter has evidence to support it. The first letter has none, although something about U's seem to make them worse than most, and W's the best, but that's only my opinion.

We were just discussing this yesterday so I saved a txt file:

AIUHB 0248MPMW?

MPMW

- The first letter is inconclusive.

- All Athlon XP's have a P as their second letter.

- Those with lower third letters consistently do better than those with higher ones, this is considered to indicate wafer integrity.

- Every AMD ever ends in a W.

so then the AIXHB 0327 VPHW that I have sitting right here would be fairly decent then? mmm, I wonder what I could acheive with a 10,000btu/hr AC unit converted into a Prommy??
