nexus repair help

i just got a nexus fan controller from a kid that thought he fried it. on the controller for fan 3 the copper or whatever metal that runs to the controller board, is missing. is there something i could put in its place? also, some of the fan speed adjusters dont work, is there a solution to that? thanks.

If they don't work. Make sure the knobs are pushed in all the way. If that doesn't work I would take it back to the kid. The Nexus is less than $20 now.
