looking at THERMALRIGHT SLK-700 or slk 800 or slk 900 or
ZALMAN CNPS7000A-CU and how much better the a
thermalright A-7

got new motherboard and 1700 to try out

suggestions how much better is the different heat sinks

is money an issue in this decision? (and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS :)

I use the SLk-800 myself on an Athlon 2400 and have very good temps. its a good price for how well it works. And it would be more than enough for an Athlon 1700

The best value option: Thermalrite sk-7 with a smart fan2

The best option: slk-900 with 92mm vantec tornado & rheostat

Stay away from the slk-700 as the biggest fan you can use is 70mm. The thermalright ax-7 is ok but is slightly worse than the sk-7. I dont know much about the zalman but i know it works fairly well and is quiet!
