contacted Mushkin about not being able to run my Level II 3500 at 2-2-2-6 and 200 Mhz when its rated 2-2-2-6 at 433 MHz.
Here's what I got as a reply.
"Hi Kevin,
I checked with one of the head techs here about your situation -
we have that board in house for testing and have been unable to run any memory at 222 at 200MHz or above.
Sometimes overrclocking is more an art than science...it sounds like your running into limitations of the system -
The CPU core is 166 -some CPUs are more overclockable than others - this combined with that specific board may be what is keeping it from running 222 spec"
I run an 8RDA3+ that is specd to run at 400 Mhz, so why are people telling me its my MB?
I am running 200 FSB, with the memory running at 100% which is 400 Mhz as well. It is SUPPOSED to run 433 at 2-2-2, but it won't even do 400 Mhz at 2-2-2, so why would it do it any higher? I run a Barton as well. PCI is locked with these boards, and my AGP is at 66 Mhz as well.
I just want to run the damn thing at 2-2-2 and 400 Mhz, which shoudl be NO problem if its specd to run 433 and 2-2-2.
