Hey guys,

need to know the following:

1) is this good memory (don't just say "yes" because its fast, i mean like compatability etc)
2) Can i slacken off the speed (say only run it at 440mhz) and then tighten the timings to like 2-2-2-11? :)
3) Are there many issues running this in either an Asus A7N8x-x or Abit NF7 ? :)

Cheers,

Christian

I believe you can tighten the timings at DDR400 and a a bit higher, but only to 2-3-3-7, don't think these Hynix chips will go tighter at any speed.

Not familar with your board but unless you can reach FSB 250 I don't think this is the best memory.

At DDR440 you could get better timings from slightly overclocked PC3200 or PC3500 e.g. one of the BH5 based modules mentioned in the sticky, cheaper too.

Good luck!
