Cutting holes for the radiator...

I´m planning on mounting an D-tek Pro Core in the top of my Midi Chieftec Dragon Case and have 2 alternatives:
1. Cut a hole that almost is as big as the radiator
2. Cut a normal 120 mm fanhole

The first option should of course be the most effective cause then almost the whole radiator area would be out in the open, but it would not look that good. My question is, would the second option make a big hit in cooling performance?

Which alternative would a Watercooling guru as yourself choose :p

You could cut a hole as big as the rad and purchase a square 120mm fan grill. Search the net, their out there.

I'd cut a hole as big as the rad and cover it with modder's mesh.

i'd also go with the square cut and a nice looking grill. doing the same for a dual 120 heatercore coming up.

Well then, going with my original plan then, rectangular hole (12x14 mm) which almost let all of the radiator breathe. Computers are like choppers, functionality is beutiful :D
