is setting the ram voltage at 2.8 dangerous?

like it says in my bios that setting it at too high will damage the ram. and 2.8 is the highest setting that i have.
 
i feel 2.8v-3v is safe imo.
ive run 3.2v and never fried anything but im overly carefull with cooling also.
others have fried ram at 3v before but i think alot is carelessness.
 
Most ram is warrantied up to 2.8 or 2.9v (and I believe OCZ EB is even warrantied up to 3v, now), so you should be fine. Wouldn't hurt to load up Prime for a few hours and then feel the stick(s). As long as you have even the barest airflow around them they should be lukewarm at most at 2.8v.
