No, pro mainly differs in things like security for businesses and a few IT tools. Though it can support duel CPUs so in a case like that then yes.
 
Pro offers the ability to join a domain, and suport for up to two processors (or dual core processor). Those would be the main differences that might be of interest to the average buyer.
 
IIRC, home and pro support dual CORE processors, but only pro supports two physicaly seperate processors.
