My cpu has always ran on pc2100 ram since I have no cash but now I have 160$ for some parts and I was wondering what kind of ram can help me reach 4ghz or more since at 3.6ghz I know my cpu still has more in it but the slow pc2100 ram cannot run very fast. Willing to spend around 100 to 120 but will spend the full 160$ if needed.

EDIT: Would like 2gigs also, whats better? 4 x 512 or 2 x 1gig?

If you are planing on goint toward 4ghz, you may want to stick with two sticks or ram.

Well my pc2100 cant do it hahaha.

Really? I won't let you drop the divider? Thats weird. In that case I would go with the Corsair stuff. We put a similar kit from Corsair in my friend's new PC and it runs great.
