I have a customer that cannot what any longer for official motherboards that support conroe and sli. (nForce 590 SLI Intel Edition )So he has ask me this.

What if he uses 1 GeForce 7950 GX2 and gets rid of his 2 7900GT Signature Series Video cards that would be setup in SLI and what kind of performance gain or lose would he see with 1 GeForce 7950 GX2 compare to an SLI setup ????

So with that i mind he wants this

Intel Bad Axe Motherboard or your suggestions
E6600 OEM (already has)
GeForce 7950 GX2
OCZ 700w Gamer Series PS (already has)
Not quiet sure on Memory Yet????

Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated ,i will print them out for him so he can make up his mind once and for all :) Thanks

Hey thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure about the 570 series, i think he is interested in the 965 more so the 975 series I have shared this info with him now he must decide. He is not a big overclocker but he said he wil be overclocking. Now on to DDR2 Memory :)

i wouldnt have him waste money for a gx2 when he has 2 gt's already. the 570 or rather NV + INTEL= not good ocing. here is also a NF4 16x mobo

these are the ones i would suggest to him for ocing as they are getting the highest FSB ocs to date.
965

975

since he wont be ocing that high i would suggest this one good price atm from newegg

this ram can do ddr2-800 speeds with a small voltage bump and you cant get any better then that atm for the $$

if he does go with the 965 or the 975's i posted then he will need to switch to a 7950gx2 atm as NV has not release fixed drivers for sli with intel chipsets.
